Wave is a new-generation wooden house developed by Polar Life Haus, a Finnish company producer of sustainable homes. Founded in 1907, Polar Life Haus has always paid particular attention to environmentally friendly building materials, to the well-being of people and of the nature surrounding us. Designed by the Finnish architect Seppo Mäntylä, Wave combines materials such as solid wood, glass and steel. The curved shape, inspired by the design of boats and airplanes, makes the project absolutely unique and original.
The house on display at the annual Suomen Asuntomessut Fair, held in Mikkeli in July – August 2017, has won important awards, such as Best House, Best Interior and Best Garden. Colcom Group has taken care of the balcony railings through the use of SABCO by Sadev.

Project

The Wave project was named after the shape of the roof of this house, which represents an original wave; the same design recurs in the balustrade overlooking the lake.
